Do you offer direct billing?
I do not direct bill, however you will be provided with a receipt with all the information necessary to be reimbursed by your insurance provider
If you have benefits, are your sessions covered?
Please check with your insurance provider before starting services. Sometimes benefits cover RCC’s (Registered Clinical Counsellors ,what I am) others require a Psychologist or Psychiatrist in order for sessions to be covered.
What’s the difference between a Counsellor, Psychologist, and Psychiatrist?
While all usually have training in counselling or therapy, Psychiatrists are Medical Doctors, can provide medical diagnoses and prescribe medications.
Psychologists usually have a PHD, PsyD or Masters Degree, are trained in psychological assessments, can provide medical diagnoses and therapy services, they cannot not prescribe medications.
Counsellors/Therapists hold a Masters Degree in Counselling or Social Work, are trained in providing therapy, cannot diagnose or provide prescriptions.
